Custom Carrousel™ Pumps have been produced to be explosion-proof through the use of hydraulics or with pneumatic (air) motors. Non explosion-proof pump applications can be configured with variable speed DC or AC motors for both the mixers and/or the pump drive.
  • Overall Size Configuration
    • Depending upon height requirement, as in a "low" coalmine seam, this equipment can be configured for the specific application

  • Internal Dimensions of the Pump
    • Depending upon the volume to be pumped or viscosity of the product or aggregate loading, several sizes are available. A 2" model is also available on a completely different frame.

  • Hopper Dimensions or Volume Requirements
    • Batch sizes can differ or physical limitations may require different mixing vessel volumes. Typically the hopper is parabolic in shape, but conical or round hoppers can be specified.

  • Pump Power and Mixer Motor Requirements
    • Explosion-proof air (pneumatic) or hydraulic motors are available for specified environments. Variable DC or AC motors are used where hydraulic or air power is not available.

  • International Configuration Requirement
    • Depending upon voltage requirements, this equipment is available in many different voltages and cycle requirements.

  • Different Gear Ratios for Drive
    • Variables, such as distance to be pumped or viscosity of the product, will dictate different ratios that are available in stock.

  • Extras & After Thoughts
    • A skid plate on the bottom of a machine or additional mounting holes for later facilitation are a few of the custom options available.

  • Additional Requirements
    • Compressors or water tanks for pre-measuring mix water are available

The Carrousel™ Pump shown here was created for the coalmine industry to mix and spray apply materials to seal the roof, ribs and walls of a coal mine. This unit is hydraulically powered for explosion-proof situations.
