Quikspray® pumps, mixers and broadcasters are used worldwide in a variety of applications as shown here.
Art Rock Scapes
The top left picture shows the spraying of shotcrete for the artificial rock and scape market. The top right picture shows the Carrousel™ Pump in front of a finished artificial rock structure. These formulas are very similar to the standard modified shotcrete formulas used in load bearing situations. The pneumatic model 15010TBM-3-GAM Carrousel Pump with Trigon is pumping a cementitious product with fiber reinforcing. The world proven peristaltic pumping system and specially designed Quikspray material line couplings and 8-airjet spray gun allow for a continuous flow of product without plugging. The #26435 Pole gun, with 8-air jets and S/S head configuration or #26428 Pole gun, with 8-airjets and replaceable orifices for finer textures, helps with pumping, as it provides no resistance with a venturi spray nozzle, which actually increases the flow within the spray gun tube.
Stamped Concrete Artwork
These artistic applications of stamped concrete work were designed and applied by Stan Pace of Pace Decorative Solutions. This artesian used the smaller 1" I.D. model Carrousel Pump #1010CEM3 with the rubber cap/metal orifice texture polegun #26345. Mixing was accomplished with a standard drill and cage mixer and the texture was added with several custom molding stamps.
Custom Units

| The left-pictured Carrousel™ Pump is a custom unit built to our customer’s needs and requirements. This model is only marketed through one of Quikspray’s master distributers (Walker Equipment) as a high production 220 VAC unit, for Fireproofing, using the time proven 1.5” I.D. pumpline and internal Trigon. The compressor mounted on top is also a 220 VAC powered unit for high air volume supply to match the delivery of the wet product being pumped by the Carrousel Pump. |

| The custom double-hopper Carrousel™ Pump with an onboard mixer was designed for use in the coalmines for spraying air stopping materials and rash guard protectant products. This pump is a 1.25” I.D. unit with Trigon and hydraulic power for explosion-proof mine requirements. A hydraulically powered 25 CFM compressor is also included for material atomization. |
| This application shows a 1.5” I.D. pneumatically (safe around water) powered Carrousel™ Pump, model #15020N5S-3-GAM, pumping an epoxy formula into pile jackets to repair spalled concrete on bridge or deck pilings. A fiberglass jacket with fill ports is attached to the piling to be repaired. Specific formulas are used under water to fill the piling jackets and create a virtually new piling face, which will continue to extend the life of the structure and eliminate costly replacement. This same model of pump is used for pumping epoxy/cement grout formulas under heavy machinery for monolithic base pads. | |
| The pictured QuikPump is a septic pump-out system for the marine industry. This unit is powered by a standard, single speed 110 VAC motor, but multiple power systems are available with or without variable speed options. The time proven Quikspray® Carrousel™ Pump is the platform behind this maintenance free peristaltic pump. If it can be flushed, then it can be pumped!” This unit is mounted on four stationary legs, but can be equipped with high flotation tires for ease of mobility around the marina or boat-yard. The pictured unit is plumbed directly into a sewer system, as well as a manifold dock transfer system making multiple pump-out stations available. | |
| Note the pictured application of shotcrete over wire re-enforced foam panel for load bearing construction. These formulas include cement, sand, aggregate, acrylic fortifiers with/without fibers. The pneumatic model 15010TBM-3-GAM Carrousel™ Pump with Trigon is pumping a cementitious product, with poly or glass fiber, for added strength in structural formulas. The peristaltic pumping system and specially designed couplings allow for a steady flow of production without plugging. The #26435 Pole gun, with 8-air jets and S/S head configuration, helps with pumping, as it provides no resistance with a venturi spray nozzle. |

| The adjacent picture depicts the use of the pneumatically powered Carrousel™ Pump #12510 LSA-3-GAM while spray applying pool plaster with pole gun model #26385. This variable speed Quikspray® peristaltic pump can spray apply at a rate that will be compatible with 1 to 4 trowel men finishing the surface after being sprayed. The low-pressure nozzle allows for either interior or exterior applications with little to no over-spray. Simple operation of this equipment allows for unskilled labor, while maximizing production. Sealed bearings, an internally clean system and low/no maintenance with 1000-2000 sq/ft per hour rate increases profits. |
|
| The Quikspray® Stoneblower is a hand-held dry aggregate blower designed to place small stones, marble chips and other decorative products like Coquina shells into unset cement or epoxy base coats for use in decorative panels or exposed aggregate finishes. This unit is not used for small aggregate, like sand, but larger sizes up to #4 work great! Another use for this unit is placing non-skid into base coats for non-skid applications. |

This application shows a double hopper Carrousel™ Pump model 12510MK-3, with an onboard mixer, being used to spray apply Glass Fiber Reinforced Surface Bonding Cement. This “surface bonding cement” is manufactured by several companies for the building of “dry stacked” walls and/or spraying on foundation coatings for strength and waterproofing. The original basic Quikspray® 8-airjet gun was designed (in the late 60’s) for spraying this product as it passes the fiber without clogging. The venture design of the 8-airjet gun also helps the product to be pumped, as it creates a negative pressure or suction, which allows for a very smooth flow. Production is reported to be in access of 2000 sq./ft per hour with this 1.25” I.D. Carrousel™ Pump and 20%+ more can be expected with the pneumatic version with a 1.5” I.D. system.
The Quikspray® U-Blend Mixer shown discharging into a small bucket or a wheelbarrow or a Carrousel™ Pump. The height of the legs are easily adjustable to fit the need of the contractor depending on the needed discharge height. Available in several power configurations, the U-Blend takes the age-old plaster mixer to the next step. Pre-bagged products like fireproofing and pool plaster or batched products like stucco and other cement textures are easily blended and mixed with the U-Blend Mixer. Adjustable and replaceable blades are inexpensive to maintain, so production is always paramount.
